GearMotive offers two proven gearbox solutions for racing purposes: the BMW ZF S5D H-pattern Dogbox gearset and the new ZF Sequential Dogbox. 

Both are based on strengthened ZF gearsets designed to handle extreme power and demanding motorsport conditions. 

They fit BMW and a wide range of other cars with adapter kits or bellhousing modifications. Gearboxes have been run up to 1200Nm in drift and drag racing use. 

ZF H-pattern Dogbox (5-speed) 

• Fully re-engineered shifter mechanism for maximum strength and rigidity 

• Heavy-Duty input and counter shafts available for 500+ hp cars 

• Fits ZF stock housings: S5D-260 / 280 / 310 / 320Z

 • Dogleg shift pattern ZF Sequential Dogbox (5-speed) 

• Wide range of engine fitments: JZ, UZ, LS/LM V8, MB V8, M50, M60 etc. 

• Built on the same gearset and shafts as the H-pattern Dogbox

 • Sequential shifting for faster, more consistent gear changes 

• Uses OEM ZF S5D bellhousing + GearMotive rear housing (OEM dimensions -> plug & play)

 • Sequential shifter, fits OEM shift lever position, very easy installation 

• Includes gear position sensor and optional LED display + ECM with shift-cut functions 

• Same HD input shaft option as the H-pattern model Gear Ratios (available for both models) 

• Rally / Track (long 1st gear, smaller gear drop): 2.23 / 1.71 / 1.38 / 1.16 / 1.00 • Drift / Drag / Rallycross (longer 1st gear, bigger gear drop): 2.73 / 1.83 / 1.42 / 1.16 / 1.00 

With GearMotive you can now choose between the robust H-pattern Dogbox or the new ZF Sequential Dogbox.
